The 2007 edition of the "Pinot gris du Monde" competition took place in the Strasbourg Music and Congress Center, which was laid out for the occasion with numerous tasting tables.
The results will be on line on Monday, 22th May.
This year, 130 international jury members tasted 236 wines produced from the Pinot Gris grape variety coming from 10 countries:
- Germany
- Austria
- France
- Hungary
- Luxembourg
- Romania
- Switzerland
- USA
- Australia
- Czech Republic
- Tasting is blind
- The juries are international
- Marks are allocated with weighted coefficients
- Final compilation of the marks are done under the supervision of a bailiff
The “Pinot Gris in the World” contest brought together professional international jury members: wine makers, oenologists, wine waiters, wine growers, qualified tasters, wine merchants, specialist journalists and celebrities from within the profession.

Overly ripened wines :
• 2004 and 2003 “LATE HARVEST”
• 2004 and 2003 “WINES WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION” (Example: SGN (noble grape selections), straw wines, ice wines or other similar specially named wines)
